Maritza Benson was born in Miami Florida. She developed her love of art, music, and culture at an early age as she frequented galleries, museums, and the emerging music and cultural scene that later would become Wynwood. As a native Floridian, she has experienced the blossoming art scene both in Miami and now in Fort Lauderdale. She delights in seeing engaging works that evoke an emotional reaction and lead to an experience.

Maritza attended Miami Dade College and Florida Atlantic University where she studied Art, Antiques, Interior design, and decorating.

After many years working as an interior stylist and art curator, Maritza has created her own process in which the art acts as the inspiration for the design of the project.

Maritza is a diversified, knowledgeable, outcome-oriented art and designs professional with excellent aesthetic and creative skills. She is also experienced as a curator, program manager, and interior decorator.

Being highly self-motivated and energetic, Maritza enjoys working creatively, either independently or as part of a team, and is able to handle multiple projects and prioritize work.
